Cromwell Adult Education offers free courses in English, Numeracy and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) giving you the chance to develop new skills, gain a qualification or just learn for fun. We welcome learners of all ages and from different backgrounds to develop their skills and confidence.

The courses that we offer mean there is something for everyone. Whether you are looking to develop your competence for work or further education, learn or improve English, Numeracy or ICT, or help your children with their studies or homework, there will be something for you.

We work in partnership with the Hackney Learning Trust to provide you with free courses as well as bring you better opportunities to help you progress into higher level or accredited courses.

All courses are accredited by OCR (Oxford and Cambridge RSA).


Study Now, Pay Later!

Are you aged 19 or over and thinking of improving your career options? Worried about the cost of tuition? If you’re aged 24 or over you can now study on a course and pay no upfront tuition costs by taking out a government loan called the Advanced Learning Loan.

Please note: The Advanced Learner Loan will be available to people aged 19+ from 1 August 2016. If you are applying to start a course at Cromwell College of IT & Management prior to this date you will only be eligible for the loan if you are aged 24+.

The loan is easy to apply for, doesn’t take your household income into account and doesn’t involve a credit check. It will fund your college course at Level 3 and above, including Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships.

You only start to pay back the loan once you’ve finished your course and you’re earning over £21,000. Until then you don’t need to pay back anything, but you can make voluntary repayments at any time.

The Level 3 Diploma in Management is appropriate for individuals looking to take their first step into line management and for those who already have some management responsibilities. This is the main qualification required by the Quality Care Commission in England and the Care Councils in Wales and Northern Ireland.

These are the recognised qualifications for the care workers and senior care workers in health and social care.

IT (Information Technology)
